ACE
Architecture, Construction & Engineering
ACE is an industry-to-student mentoring program that encourages interested students in one of the disciplines for which the name stands. The organization strives:
n To enlighten and motivate students toward architecture, construction, engineering, and related careers.
n To provide mentoring and scholarship opportunities for future designers and constructors.
Mentors, who are professionals from the fields of architecture, construction and engineering, meet regularly with select Stratford students and develop a project that competes with student teams from other Middle Tennessee High Schools.
The Mentors
nProfessionals
nFrom large and small firms
nDevelop rapport with students
nAll ages and experiences

nExhibit leadership skills |
An end-of-year dinner and presentation gives Stratford participants an opportunity to “strut their stuff” and present the fruits of their labors to a large group of their peers and other professionals.
ACE team members spend their meeting time with their mentors at the locations in and around Nashville that coincide with one of the disciplines. They build knowledge related to their projects that they will use to develop the plans for an actual facility. Students with ACE experience receive the benefit of having “lived” in the world of industry during the duration of the school year.
